The media preview days at the New York International Auto Show are in the books, and INDIEV made a huge impact!
The opening day was defined by a set of press conferences, including one from INDIEV! Our Head of Product Design, Andre Hudson, took center stage at our booth. There, he dove deep into the inspiration behind the INDI One, and how we hope to offer drivers the ability to craft an all-new user experience. Our Head of Battery Systems, Tom Gage, called in from our Downtown LA headquarters to speak more on our proprietary platform and battery systems, which were developed in the very factory he joined us from.
Then, Andre revealed the huge news: reservations for the INDI One are now available! The standard model of the INDI One is available to reserve starting at $100. Each reservation comes with an INDIEV swag bag, and reservations of the premium model come with gift sets tied to and inspired by the colors they match. Our good friend William Bridge, CEO of the legendary environmental nonprofit Global Green, placed the very first INDI One reservation, opting for our Griffith Green color.
At the press conference’s end, we welcomed our old friend Menswear Dog to the booth, where Bodhi and his mom Yena Kim both looked stunning as they checked out the INDI One in person for the first time.
Downstairs on Level One, we reintroduced our VR demo that we unveiled at CES on the New York International Auto Show’s inaugural EV Test Track. Passengers not only have the opportunity to be some of the first to ride in the INDI One, but they also get to experience some of what the VIC has to offer drivers with our integrated Virtual Reality experiences. Passengers have the opportunity to choose between three unique VR demonstrations, developed specifically to interact with and work in tandem with the motion of the INDI One.
While Day 1 was quite an adventure, the fun is only just beginning! The show opens for the general public on Friday, April 14, and is open through Sunday April 24. Visitors can learn more about the INDI One at Booth #700 on the third floor, then head downstairs to the EV Test Track to see the INDI One in action. Additionally, those who reserve the INDI One at the show are going to end up with some extra, limited edition INDIEV swag! We’ll see you in the Javits Center!
